Why It’s Great to Have This Netflix List of Christmas Movies
Look, I know, you’ve probably seen one (or more) of these Disney Christmas movies at least once, if you have kids. But the thing is, the winter is coming. And they love a great movie night. Think about it, kids just love to cuddle with you under a blanket on the couch, some popcorn or a cookie handy for snacks.
And bringing in a Disney Christmas movie on Netflix makes it easy for you to make a movie night. All you have to do is pop the movie on, grab the blanket, and the kids will come to you.
Doesn’t have to be formal, but it definitely sets the tone for the holidays to come.
Some fun Christmas movie night ideas I love:
- Say hello to Santa–yeah, there’s an app for that so the kids can talk to him without leaving home.
- Make a ridiculously easy and fun Christmas treat together like these Candy Christmas Trees.
- Break out the craft supplies and make Santa Hat Christmas Ornaments!
And these are just a few of the elements of a truly great Christmas movie night. You can’t go wrong on a cold, chilly night with a kiddo, a couch and a movie about the holidays.
Netflix used to have these titles in their catalog. However, since the Disney Plus launch in November 2019, many titles have expired and moved exclusively over to Disney+.
I’ve made a couple of lists of the Christmas movies on Disney+:
These young pups get some help finding their Christmas spirit — just in time to help Santa travel the globe! Also, is there a pup cuter than the one with the bow?! I think not. (Watch on Disney+)
- Amazon Prime Video (Video on Demand)
- Christopher Lloyd, Danny Woodburn, George Wendt (Actors)
- Robert Vince (Director) - Robert Vince (Writer) - Anna McRoberts (Producer)

When the Santa Pups grant joyful wishes to Pineville’s boys and girls, something goes terribly wrong: the Christmas spirit begins to disappear. It’s up to the Santa Paws to make sure Christmas is saved! (Watch on Disney+)
Who stuffs your stocking with tales of holiday cheer? The one and only mouse with the big, round ears! This is a really sweet compilation of shorts that the kids have watched over and over. And they talk about it. I think that if the harmonica story comes up again, I know what I’m getting the littlest for Christmas. (Watch on Disney+)
Santa Claus. Christmas carols. And the family of an extremely wealthy duck. Happy holidays everyone! (Watch on Disney+)
