Insidious is a series of American horror films created by Leigh Whannell. The main character of the narrative is Quinn Brenner, a teenage girl played by Stefanie Scott, who makes several supernatural attempts to make touch with her deceased mother.

Her attempts to communicate with the dead fail, and instead of connecting with her mother, she attracts a malicious presence that is determined to draw her down into the realm of the dead, also known as The Further.
