At the start of the Women's World Cup 2023, I thought I'd check out the soccer movies on Netflix that are available. How many of them feature women? ZERO!
According to Samantha Harvitt, Freelance Writer for The18.com,
Soccer is the only sport that brings everyone around the world together. The one sport where women are taken seriously. It is more than a ball and a net at the end of the field. It is made up of speed, strength, skill, practice and dedication.
I love soccer because it's unpredictable. You never know when a game will go from overtime to penalty kicks. Your favorite player might get taken out because of a red card or an injury. Working for The18 allows me to educate others and express my love for the most popular sport.
