Most Disney films have one major theme, love. This is one reason these films have resonated with children and adults alike. The stories touched us when we were kids and we still love those films to this day.
The animation is simple but beautiful. No special effects, no 3-D just hand-drawn images. When making a top ten list it is hard to not be biased; just because you may like something that doesn't mean everyone will.
So in this list, I will try to pick the films that almost everyone regards as classic.

Bambi
Bambi is as close to real-life as you'll get when watching a Disney film. The story is about a deer named Bambi and it follows his life in the wild. The film may be too sad for the younger kids, but it portrays real-life and does it with cute, talking animals. (1942)

Cinderella
Cinderella is a classic for girls. The film follows Cinderella as she lives with her stepmom and stepsisters. They are cruel to her, but in the end, she finds true love. (1950)

The Lion King

Mulan on paper doesn't sound like a great story (a girl goes to battle for her father and pretends to be a man), but Disney really made this a touching story; great family film. (1998)

Sleeping Beauty is another classic love story will love. The film also has a great villain. (1959)

Disney has many classic films and a Top 10 list isn't enough so here are some I missed: Dumbo, 101 Dalmatians, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, Tarzan, The Jungle Book, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
